The newest Smart Watch model from Omate, Wherecom S3 addresses the elderly, the device featuring an interface with simple menus, easy to use. Moreover, the Smart Watch provides 3G connectivity and GPS.
The most important feature of the watch is, however, the SOS button. By pressing it, the user can be located easily by selected preset contacts, receiving its geographical coordinates.
Wherecom S3’s OS is based on Android and includes preinstalled apps for contacts, or ones which provide notifications for the set hours to take the medication.
S3 has a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek processor, 512 MB RAM, internal storage capacity of 4 GB, and a 600 mAh battery (that can last for three days, according to the manufacturer). The screen has a diagonal of 1.54 inches and a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The watch also includes a pedometer.
Omate Wherecom S3 will be available in Europe from September this year, for a price of 150 euros.
